France and André Dion dedicated their lives to the protection of birds in Quebec, particularly the Eastern Bluebird. André Dion wrote numerous books on birds, with a special focus on the Eastern Bluebird.

France Dion bequeathed to Le Baluchon the precious collection of birdhouses and ornithology books that she and her late husband had carefully preserved for decades. This gift also includes a variety of archives that trace the extraordinary journey of the Dions into the world of birds.
