Reservation and cancellation policies

In order to offer you a stay that meets your expectations, we have established a clear and fair reservation and cancellation policy. By respecting it, you help preserve the quality and harmony of the Baluchon experience.

Reservation and cancellation policies

ROOMS AND SUITES

Your room is guaranteed for 4:00 p.m. Check-out is required by 12:00 p.m. on the day of departure.

  •  A charge of $100 per night, per room, will be applied to your credit card at the time of booking.
  • This deposit guarantees your reservation and is non-refundable under any circumstances,
    regardless of the cancellation date.
  • Please notify us at least 72 hours prior to arrival to modify your reservation date. If this request is
    respected, your deposit may be transferred to a future stay with accommodation. It cannot be
    refunded, exchanged for another service or product, or transferred to another person.
  • For cancellations made between 72 and 24 hours before arrival, 100% of the first night’s charges
    (room, spa services, activities, meals), including taxes, will be billed.
  • For cancellations made less than 24 hours before arrival (prior to 4:00 p.m. the day before), the full
    amount of the reservation (room, spa services, activities, meals) will be charged.
  • Upon arrival, a pre-authorization will be taken on your credit card for the total cost of your stay,
    plus $100 per night, per room, as a security deposit. A valid photo ID will be required.

HOLIDAY PACKAGES – CHRISTMAS MAGIC & NEW YEAR’S EVE

Room is guaranteed for 4:00 p.m. Check-out by 12:00 p.m.

  • A deposit of 50% of the total amount (including taxes) per room will be charged to your credit card
    at the time of booking.
  • This deposit guarantees your reservation and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Please notify us more than 14 days prior to arrival to change your reservation date. If this request is
    respected, your deposit can be transferred to a future stay with accommodation. It cannot be
    refunded, exchanged for another service or product, or transferred to another person.
  • For cancellations between 14 days and 72 hours before arrival, the 50% deposit is retained.
  • For cancellations less than 72 hours before arrival or in the case of a no-show, the full amount of
    the reservation will be charged.

GROUP CELEBRATION & WEDDING PACKAGES

  • A deposit of $100 per night, per room will be charged to your credit card at the time of booking.
  • This deposit is non-refundable at all times in the event of cancellation. It cannot be applied to a future reservation.
  • For cancellations made 7 days or less before arrival, the full amount of the reservation (room, spa
    services, activities, meals) will be charged.

GROUPS AND EVENTS

  • Please note that for group or corporate event bookings, reservation and cancellation policies may
    vary according to the contract. For more information, please contact your event coordinator.

GIFT CERTIFICATES & GIFT CARDS (Promotional, Monetary, or Package-based)

  • A deposit corresponding to the type of accommodation booked will be charged to your credit card
    at the time of booking.
  • This deposit guarantees your reservation and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Please present your gift certificate or gift card upon arrival.
  • Upon arrival, a pre-authorization will be taken on your credit card as a security deposit, based on your accommodation type. A valid photo ID will be required.
  • Spa or activity gift cards (e.g. equestrian or dog sledding) must be used exclusively for the services specified on the card. They are non-exchangeable and have no cash value.

LUXURY CHALETS

The Manor House, The Canoer’s Chalet, Rollande and Émil’s House, The Paddler’s Chalet and the Perched Lofts
Check-in is guaranteed for 5:00 p.m. | Check-out by 11:00 a.m.

  • A 50% deposit (taxes included) is charged at the time of booking.
  • This deposit guarantees your reservation and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • On arrival, the full remaining balance is charged along with a $1000 pre-authorization as a security
    deposit. A photo ID is required.
  • Cleaning fees: $300 per stay for Rollande and Émile’s House and The Manor House; $100 per stay for Perched Lofts.
  • Please notify us more than 60 days before arrival to modify the date or duration of your stay. If this
    request is respected, your deposit can be transferred to a future luxury chalet stay. It cannot be
    refunded, exchanged for other services, or transferred to another person.
  • For cancellations between 60 and 30 days before arrival, the 50% deposit is retained.
  • For cancellations less than 30 days before arrival or no-shows, the full amount of the rental is
    charged.

IMMERSIVE CABINS

River Cabin, Blue House, The Rotunda Retreat, and the Lofts (Rollerside loft, Ranch loft and Sanctuary Loft)

  • A 50% deposit (taxes included) is charged at the time of booking.
  • This deposit guarantees your reservation and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Upon arrival, the full balance is charged, along with a $500 pre-authorization as a security deposit.
    A photo ID is required.
  • Cleaning fee of $100 per stay applies to immersive cabins.
  • Please notify us more than 30 days before arrival to modify the date or duration of your stay. If this
    request is respected, your deposit can be transferred to a future stay in one of our experiential
    chalets. It cannot be refunded, exchanged, or transferred.
  • For cancellations less than 30 days before arrival or no-shows, the full rental amount is charged.

 

STAY FEES

  • A $29/night stay fee applies to all bookings with accommodation. [Details here.]
  •  For rooms: charged per night, per room.
  • For chalets or lofts: charged per bedroom.
  • These fees reflect our commitment to offering a genuine and inspiring resort experience.

 

SPA TREATMENTS & ACTIVITIES

Le Baluchon reserves the right to modify booking times by ±15 minutes.

  • Please notify us more than 72 hours before the activity date to cancel without penalty.
  • For cancellations or changes within 72 hours of the activity, the full cost (including taxes) will be
    charged.

STAYING WITH CHILDREN

  • Children aged 0–4: free breakfast and lodging included when accompanied by a parent whose
    package includes breakfast. Other meals are à la carte and payable on-site.
  • Children aged 5–12: eligible for a children’s package including lodging, a 3-course children’s table
    d’hôte dinner, breakfast, meal service, and an outdoor activity passport with free equipment.

GENERAL RESERVATION GUIDELINES

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms and pavilions. Cleaning fees will apply for violations.
  • Guests are responsible for all furniture, facilities, and items made available during their stay. Any
    damage or breakage will be billed.
  • Le Baluchon is not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten items.
  • Pets are not allowed in any of our rooms, chalets, or lofts. Le Baluchon reserves the right to charge
    cleaning fees for violations.
  • Animals are not permitted on the premises or in any of Le Baluchon’s buildings. Certified service
    dogs are allowed. If the dog is not certified by MIRA, valid documentation from a recognized
    authority must be provided.
  • For safety and hygiene reasons, cooking appliances (e.g., fondue or raclette sets) are not
    permitted in the rooms.
